The financial advisor model has changed over the last several decades. From the clients perspective, these changes provide more options, more transparency, and more of the kind of services that used to be accessible only by those with a great deal of wealth.
As a fee-only fiduciary advisor we want to provide you with frequently asked questions that we get when being interviewed and interviewing new clients.
Will your recommendations be primarily focused in one area, or will your recommendations be comprehensive in nature? In other words, will I need to find another advisor for advice in other areas?
For our clients, we serve as a single point of contact for all their financial needs. As a fee-only fiduciary financial firm this includes coordinating every aspect of their financial needs. Each of our clients has a financial plan and Financial Action Checklist detailing all of the actions needed to achieve their financial goals. As needed, these action items are coordinated with accountants, attorneys and other professionals.
Where do you keep my money and how can I see it?
For your convenience and safety, we use Schwab & Co. as the custodian for our client assets. As custodian(s), Schwab holds your funds and provides reporting to you and the IRS. Your accounts can be viewed at any time at Schwab & Co.
Do you provide a written client engagement agreement?
You will receive an written engagement agreement that will out-line the service provided to you. You will review and sign the agreement before moving forward with an planning or advice.
If I am not local to Greenville, SC can I still work with you?
Yes, we work with clients all over the country. We use Zoom Conference for meetings and phone calls and email to communicate with you through-out your engagement. If you need to meet in person we can accommodate that as well.
How often will my plan be updated?
Just like we are moving in and out of seasons in life. Your plan is a involving piece of your story. As an advisory team are reviewing your financial picture as data updates. A financial plan is never a one-off document. It needs to be updated continuously evolve as you do. We believe that financial planning is a relationship not a document.
